In this workshop the circus artist as a socially sensitive citizen comes in the center of attention. Being a social circus trainer and artist takes more than having equivalent circus skills. It needs for the person to be aware of where he/she stands in different social matters so that this awareness and sensitivity transforms into concrete actions. Actions widening from circus education to a circus performance.
Main goal of this workshop is once again to lead a group of artists from different nationalities into a presentable outcome (a performance) about migration within the timetable of 5 days.
Working with self-awareness in terms of moving and acting on stage will be the core of work. Primarily artists will work with “sensor movement” techniques on what it takes to bring your real attention in what you do and what happens to movement and acting once you bring you attention to it. How movement transforms from maybe empty gymnastics to theatrical communicative motion!
Within group dynamics a common kinetic vocabulary will be formed and with the powerful tool of guided improvisation the group will give birth to its own images about migration.
Where a person stands when it comes to terms of exclusion, racism and intolerance that come along with migration issues? What it feels like to be stranger? What it takes to abandon one’s home and family? These issues will be worked through experiential exercises of Human Rights Education methodology.
The group will be supported, guided but thus free to form, after all this, its own small performance that will be presented in both children and adult audience in a double performance the last day
Timetable will be from 10:00 to 18:00 every day.

Working on migration issues. Through Experiential exercises of Human Rights Education and trough group work we gradually form the first images that may apply to our performance
